About Nature's Aglow3, New Braunfels, Texas

My name is Barbara Hoffman and I began making and selling candles about two years ago, encouraged  by my sister Vanessa. Vanessa owns a Nature’s Aglow in Desoto, Mo. and also has a small shop in St. Louis, hence the name Nature’s Aglow3. I have been pouring candles now going into my third year and  also make all my own soy enriched bath and body products. 

I began making all the candles in my garage on weekends.  My shop at the time was not large enough for me to make them at my retail location.  Two years ago, I enlarged and opened up the back end of my shop, so now I make them on premise. 

My husband is retired Army Veterinary Corp  Lt. Colonel.  I worked 33 years in the Automobile industry.  Fortunately, at that time, I became acquainted with New Braunfels, TX and decided that is where I wanted to open my shop.  It is a small historic town about 20 miles north of San Antonio.  After being in the retail industry for many years, it was very natural for me to want to work with the public.  I have made many good friends since opening.  I am a perfect example of being able to change your profession at a very late time in your life.  I love what I do.  If you are ever in New Braunfels or San Antonio, take a short ride north and come and visit me at Nature’s Aglow.  I carry lots of great gifts including jewelry, wine accessories, electric oil warmers and  of course candles ! The majority of my gift items are priced under $25.00.  I plan to keep it that way!!!!
